FORT FAIRFIELD – Diane Marie Saucier, 59, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2006, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Lawrence and Agnes (Grass) Saucier. Diane attended local schools and graduated from Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1967. She attended Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, Presque Isle, and earned her associate degree in business from Gray School of Business, Portland. Diane was a devoted communicant of St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield; was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle No. 427; the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187 Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Fairfield and the Fort Fairfield Alumni Assocation. Diane was an avid genealogist and compiled a detailed book about Stevensville, completed extensive research on Riverside Cemetery and recorded it in book form. She was a devoted Elvis Presley fan and was a collector of Elvis memorabilia. She will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt. Diane is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Agnes Saucier; one brother, Gary Saucier; one sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Gary McNeal; one aunt, Anna Grass, all of Fort Fairfield; two nieces, Denise Levesque of Orrington and Mia Blood of Caribou; two great-nephews, Michael Mat-toon of Caribou and Jacob Levesque of Orrington; one great-niece, Haley Blood of Caribou, several cousins. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Brenda Saucier. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a vigil service will be conducted 8 p.m. with the Rev. David Raymond officiating. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main St., Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. David Raymond, celebrant. Spring interment will take place at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately after the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Diane to the Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle, No. 427, care of Mrs. Marion Cassidy, 63 Presque Isle St., Fort Fairfield, ME 04742 or to the Fort Fairfield Alumni Association, P.O.
