CARIBOU – Dianna M. Mancos McCabe, 64, died peacefully March 19, 2008, with her family and close friends by her side, at her residence. She was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Caribou, the daughter of the late Demase and Eva (Lowe) Michaud. Dianna was a loving and devoted mother, and was employed by several area restaurants. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and volunteered hundreds of hours to numerous community groups over the years. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Mancos of Caribou and Michael and Debra Mancos of Limestone; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Virginia Mancos Saunders of Caribou, Barbara Mancos Rice of Plattsburg, N.Y., Shelly McCabe Carson and Christopher, Kelly McCabe Ketch and Charles, Shannon McCabe Prestwood and Sandra McCabe Little and Dennis, all of Caribou; one brother and sister-in-law, Reynold and Lorena Michaud of Caribou; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Stillman Searles of Caribou and Viola and Randy Swenson of Gardner, Mass.; 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A special thanks is extended to Joanne Lewis and Maynard Michaud, who were Dianna’s lifelong friends. Dianna was predeceased by two sisters, Winnifred and Geraldine Michaud; and three brothers, Arthur, Stanley and Gerald Michaud. Friends may call 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be celebrated noon Tuesday from Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
