EDDINGTON – Donald P. Theriault, 78, a brave much loved man of very few words, died peacefully at home March 20, 2008, surrounded by his family. Known to everyone as “Pa” he fought a long and hard fight – harder than any of us ever realized. He is finally at peace and is now surrounded by those who have passed on before and loved him as much as we did, in heaven. Pa loved his family and especially his grandchildren. They brought many a smile to his face and he was never ashamed to give them a loving hug and kiss. A close second love to Pa, sometimes we thought he loved this more than his family, was his fishing. It was not uncommon for him to be fishing from sun up – when “the fish were really biting” to sundown when once again “the fish were really biting.” It was fun when we were younger to go fishing with Pa, but as we all got older the six to eight hours on the boat got a little more than we could handle and so he just carried on not really caring that he was alone and sat for hours and hours enjoying the peace and beauty of West Lake and any other spot he could fish at. Pa loved so much and was loved back so much. Born in Howland, Jan. 15, 1930, to Edmund and Mae Theriault, he was blessed at birth with the love of a large family. His sisters, Phyllis, Alice, Pat, Ruth, Joan and brothers, Johnnie, Clayton, Darrell, Billy and Wayne always said he was the quiet and gentle one of the family. With that many children in the family he probably had no choice. Pa worked for Delta Airlines for 25 years, retiring in 1992. A short time after retirement he was blessed again to go to work at Peavey Manufacturing to help Rodney and Debbie out with anything they needed done. His love for
