BANGOR – Donald E. Moro, 67, died June 14, 2006, at a Bangor health-care facility. He was born Dec. 15, 1938, in Bangor the son of Ernest J. and Frances I. (Bigelow) Moro. Donald was a graduate of the Bangor school system, Beal College and he also attended Husson College for one year. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a shoe cutter for many years at Spotbilt Shoe factory. He enjoyed karate, reaching the level of brown belt No. 3, cribbage, scrabble, and short way radio. He is survived by a special friend, Peggy Moro of Eddington; one son, David Moro of Bangor; one daughter, Lisa Haas and her husband, Tony, of New Hampshire; four grand-children, Bailey, Breeanna, Amber and Mark; one brother, Ernest Moro Jr. and his wife, Pauline, of California; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Robert Moro. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
