PRESQUE ISLE – Donald J. Potvin, 67, formerly of Medway, died Oct. 14, 2005, at his home in Presque Isle. He was born April 25, 1938, in Fort Kent, the son of Lucien and Viola (Blanchette) Potvin. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle, served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a past member of the Medway DAV. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Pelkey) Potvin of Presque Isle; a son, James D. Potvin and his wife, Beth, of East Millinocket; a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Michelle) Theriault Jr. of Presque Isle; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Gerald and Kay Potvin of Medway; two special friends, Roy and Roger Belanger, both of Fort Kent and several nieces and nephews. Predeceasing him in addition to his parents was a sister, Jean Delodge. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Caribou with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in support of the family may be sent to 53 Dyer St., Apt. 1B, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
