GUILFORD – Donald L. Campbell, 80, died Dec. 19, 2007, surrounded by his family, at his home. He was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Guilford, son of Riley and Edna (Rollins) Campbell. Don was a lifelong resident of Guilford, where he owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. He also worked in the woods and later worked for the State Highway Department for more than 17 years. He was a former selectman for the town of Guilford and attended Guilford Center Baptist Church. He was a member and past master of Dawn of Hope Grange, North Guilford, and a member of Valley Grange. He was a past deputy of Maine State Grange. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn (Ladd) Campbell of Guilford; three sons and their wives, Daniel and Carol Campbell of Hartshorne, Okla., Dennis and Deb Campbell of West Chesterfield, N.H., and Douglas and Bonnie Campbell of Pelham, N.H.; a sister, Maxine Tripp of Guilford; four grandchildren, David, Scott, Chris and Derek; and three great-grandchildren, Parker, Elizabeth and Reese. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor David Lassell and Dennis Campbell officiating. Spring burial will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at Elmwood Cemetery, Guilford.
