BANGOR – Donald Lester Spencer, 73, died Jan. 12, 2008, at his residence. He was born Aug. 21, 1934, in Orono, the son of Vinal L. and Helena M. (Fortier) Spencer. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lillian (Libby) Spencer; four sons, Steven and wife, Vicky, Richard and wife, Sally, Edward, and Danny and wife, Teri; a brother, Chuck and wife, Gloria; a sister, Mildred Lizzote and husband, Louie; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and close friends, Pete and Linda, Reno and Sue, Ray and Sandy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Edward L. Spencer and Eugene “Peter” Spencer. A gathering to celebrate Donald’s life will be held 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at his residence, Birch Hill Estates, 18 E St., Bangor.
