BANGOR – Donald R. White, 64, died Oct. 2, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 29, 1940, in Bangor, the son of William and Althea (Morrison) White. After retiring to Maine in 1995, Dick worked part-time for Hannaford Brothers until his death and enjoyed a more leisurely lifestyle. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the seniors. His great pride was his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosalie (Rist) White of Bangor; two sons and their wives, Donald White II and Karen of Tewksbury, Mass., William White and Amy of Greenville, N.C.; one daughter and her husband, Shawna and Tim Bouchard of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother and his wife, Eugene White and Lorraine of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one sister and her husband, Dolores and Dick Withee of Bangor; four grandchildren, Tyler, Camden, Garrison, and Adrianna; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William A. White Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the interment.
