PRESQUE ISLE – Wilmot Lovely, 87, died Oct. 2, 2004, at a local health-care facility. He was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Samuel and Alice (Michaud) Lovely. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife Edna (Houlton) Lovely of Presque Isle; three daughters, Constance Flaker of Milford, Conn., Raneelia Jo Michaud of Coconut Creek, Fla. and Lisa Gordon of Presque Isle; five grandchildren, Valarie Fusick, Vanessa Miranda, Tony Gardner, Heather Gardner and Joshua Gordon; two great-grandchildren, Brittany Bell and Andrew Fusick; three brothers, Vinal, Rufus and Adrian Lovely; a sister, Adeline Nelson. He was predeceased by one child, Simeon Beckwith; brothers and sisters, Rance, Harris, Loris and Reginald Lovely, Mora Boone, Marie Maynard and Israel and Albert Lovely. Relatives and friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Grove-Markwood officiating. Military committal services will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle.
