PRESQUE ISLE – Donald S. Johnston, 66, died April 2, 2007, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Presque Isle, the son of Gerald F. and Frances M. (McEachern) Johnston. He graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1958. Don had been employed for 45 years by Milliken Tomlinson, Wettereau and Super Value, as a buyer for the IGA wholesalers. He enjoyed walking, playing cards, bowling and watching sports. In addition to his mother of Presque Isle, he is survived by a sister and her husband, Judith A. and Larry Drost of Mapleton; a niece and her husband, Stephanie and Troy Stephenson; two nephews and their wives, Jerod and Janet Drost of Warren, and Shad C. and Ronda Johnston of Presque Isle; three great-nieces, Jalyn Grace Drost, Abagail Katy Johnston and Sophia Grace Stephenson; and a great-nephew, Brycen E. Libby. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard G. Johnston; and a nephew, Mark S. Johnston. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. David Raymond officiating. A reception will be held after in the reception area of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in his memory to Ronald McDonald House, 654 State St., Bangor, ME 04401-5649.
