CRYSTAL and HOULTON – Donald Stockley, 77, died March 15, 2006, at Houlton. He was born March 23, 1928, in Presque Isle, the son of Harry and Irene Stockley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Great Northern Paper for several years and worked on the Shur Farms in Crystal. Donald is survived by his wife of 44 years, Grace (Hatt) Stockley of Houlton and Crystal; four children, Brenda and her husband, Arthur Shur, of Island Falls, Barry Thompson and his wife, Sue, Greg Thompson of Houlton, Vicki and her husband, Robert Richie, of Escondido, Calif.; five grandchildren, Wally and Wayne Goodwin, Wendy and her husband, Bob Hayes, Renee and Robert Richie Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Crystal DeLeon, Erica Goodwin, Ashley and Skylar Hayes; one sister-in-law, Carol Stockley; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; four brothers, Eric, Harry, Gordon and Eldon; two sisters, Hazel Murchison and Elizabeth Morrell. A celebration of Don’s life will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
