VANCOUVER, Wash. – Donald W. True passed away May 5, 2006, at his home in Vancouver, Wash. He was born April 30, 1945, in Abbott, to Guy and Flora True. Don moved from Maine to Oregon in 1962 and then served in the 11th Armored Calvary Blackhorse Regiment in Vietnam during 1965-1967. For 41 years, Don worked in the trucking industry and retired from Yellow Freight in September 2005. He was a Vancouver resident for the last seven years and was an avid fisherman and bicyclist. Don is survived by his two daughters, Dawn and Taunya; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and three brothers, all residents of Maine. Interment will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore. A memorial service will be held in his honor 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel, 4700 NE St. Johns Rd., Vancouver, Wash.
