WINCHENDON, Mass. – Donald W. Woodard, 67, of 409 Spring St., Winchendon, Mass., died unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 25, 2004, at home. He was born Nov. 13, 1936, in Old Town, one of the oldest of 21 brothers and sisters and lived in Winchendon, Mass., for 40 years. His wife, Eugenia “Jean” (Lockhart) Woodard, died in 1995. Over the years, Mr. Woodard worked for Girards Dept. store, Putnam-Feldman Chevrolet and M.S. Parks Co., all in Winchendon, Mass. He enjoyed baseball and boxing. He was a great husband, a loving father and grandfather, and was a great friend to a lot of people. He will surely be missed by his mother, Georgia Woodard of Maine; two sons, Richard A. Woodard of Atlanta, Ga., and Bertram E. Woodard of Winchendon, Mass.; two daughters, Sherry L. Carnahan of Uradilla, N.Y., and Stephanie L. Simmons of Maylene, Ala.; many brothers and sisters; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday in the Fletcher-Hebert Funeral Home, 70 Pleasant St., Winchendon, Mass. Burial in Riverside Cemetery will be private.
