SHERMAN – Donna Grace (Wakefield) Huntley, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, June 20, 2007, at her home. She was born Dec. 29,1928, in Howland, the daughter of Addison and Angie (Sibley) Wakefield. She graduated from Howland High School in 1947. She moved to Sherman after marrying her husband in 1955. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known as “Grammie Hunny.” She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing games with her grandchildren and she always had peanut butter cookies. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John I. Huntley of Sherman; four children, Kathy Osgood and her husband, Gary, of Dayton, Ella Haverlock and her husband, Eddie Jr., of Greenbush, John M. Huntley and his wife, Harriet, and Ruth Irish and her husband, Michael, all of Sherman; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Angie; her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, Stacyville, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. with the Rev. Carlton Huntley officiating. Interment will be at Sherman Mills Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held immediately after the service at the church. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
