CALAIS – Donna Marie Daye, 66, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at her residence after a short illness. Donna was born Jan. 7, 1940, in Calais, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Ross) Donovan. She graduated from Calais Memorial High School in 1957 and was a loyal employee of Eastern Maine Electric Company for 26 years, retiring in January 2002. She was an avid Red Sox fan and lived to see them win the World Series. Donna was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Wilfred Donovan. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Jane Daye of Calais, Ann Marie Gallant and Brett Hold of Baileyville and Paula Worster and husband, Jay, of Lee; grandchildren, Casandra Worster, T.J. Gallant, Ashlee Gallant, Chelsey Worster and Kiarra Hold; a brother, Paul Donovan and wife, Carol, of Calais; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, at Calais Cemetery, with Fr. Frank Morin, officiating.
