CALAIS – Donna Sara Hornbrook, 66, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, with her family by her side at her home. Donna was born Oct. 24, 1941, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Ralph and Elva (Clement) McLean. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Calais. Donna enjoyed knitting, cooking, dancing, playing the accordion, listening to country music and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Hornbrook. Surviving are her son, Gregg Hornbrook and his wife, Michelle, of Calais; her daughter, Julia Boies and her husband, Michael, of Baileyville; three sisters, Norma McLean of Calais, Barbara Maenhout and her husband, Robert, of Calais and Linda Shreve and her husband, Michael, of Nova Scotia; five grandchildren, Kristen, Scott and Sara Boies, and Derrick and Nicholas White; a dear friend, Theresa Case of Calais; many nieces and nephews. Donna will also be sadly missed by her neighbors and many other friends. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday by Father Frank Morin at First Congregational Church, Calais Avenue, Calais. Burial will be after at Calais Cemetery.
