ORONO and ORRINGTON Doris E. LeClair, 63, died July 11, 2004, at a Boston hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1940, in Bangor, the daughter of Douglass and Doris (Hall) Burr. She was employed by the University of Maine for 21 years as a receptionist. Doris was also a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, coached Little-League in Orono, helped form the Boosters Club for Orono High School, assisted the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church, and the Orono Legion Auxiliary. She loved bingo, and formed an organ transplant support group. She is survived by her mother, Doris (Hall) Quimby of Brunswick; her husband of 42 wonderful years, Harold LeClair of Orrington; two sons, Timothy P. Work of Brunswick, Sonny LeClair and his wife, Barbette, of Orrington; two daughters, Cristol and her husband, Terry Wickett, of Alton, Diane and her husband, Emile Vinal, of Orono; one brother, Paul Burr and his wife, Mina, of Bowdoin; two sisters, Shirley Griffin of Old Town, Pamela Burr of Brunswick; very special in-laws, Lorraine and Dick Tuck of Eddington, Carol and Milton Ouellette of Lincoln, Shirley and Asa Bouchard of Augusta, Andrew and Laurie LeClair of Arglye; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Carla, Alicia, Katrina, Travis, Lisa, Matthew, Elizabeth, Danielle, Bridget, Zachary; four great-grandchildren, Jia-Xi, Liang-Kang, Austin, Bjorn; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Douglass Burr; her first husband, Paul Work; and her great-grandson, Caden Beal. A service of remembrance will be held 12 noon Saturday, July 17, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Adam Soderberg, pastor of the East Orrington Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Orono United Methodist Church, 36 Oak St., following the interment.
