BATH – Doris E. Mowbray McKay, 92, of Plant Memorial Home, Washington Street, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at a Brunswick hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Glenwood, a daughter of Norman and Florence (Nolan) Mowbray. She graduated from Wytopitlock High School and she married Burleigh L. McKay Nov. 11, 1932, in Portsmouth, N.H. She was a past worthy matron and a grand representative of Order of Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her husband, Burleigh L. McKay April 28, 1997; and two brothers, Donald Mowbray and Ivan C. Jenkins. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Ford Dolan of York, Carolyn “Callie” Witham and her husband, Mert, of Bath; one sister, Louise M. Seppala of Gloucester, Mass.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Mayo, Curtis & Hill Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Church of Christ Congregational, Bath. Burial will be held after the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by Mayo, Curtis & Hill Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath.
