BUCKSPORT – Doris L. (Cunningham) Witham Beaulieu, 78, died Feb. 17, 2004, at a Penobscot nursing facility. She was born April 20, 1925, in Orland, the daughter of Newell L. and Florence Crestel (Perkins) Cunningham Sr. Doris worked for many years at the Emple Knitting Mill, Ellsworth, and as a cook for the Bucksport School Department. She is survived by a son, David Witham and his wife, Candy, of Bucksport; a daughter, Roxanne Parker and her husband, Randy, of Bucksport; three grandchildren, Heidi, David and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, and Tayson; a brother, Robert Cunningham of Ellsworth; a sister, Freda Hewes of Orrington; several nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick Witham, in 1993; her second husband, Philip Beaulieu, in 2003; sister, Betty Sawyer; brother, Newell Cunningham Jr. Doris’s family would like to extend their appreciation to all of her caregivers at Penobscot Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided during her stay there. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating.
