LINCOLN – Dorothea L. “Bunny” Gilpatrick, 93, wife of the late Kenneth Gilpatrick, died Jan. 25, 2007, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in North Bancroft, the youngest of five children of Edwin and Cora (MacCleod) Whitney. Bun graduated with honors from Danforth High School. She married Kenneth Gilpatrick in 1936, and shortly thereafter, moved to Lincoln where she lived the rest of her life. She assisted her husband in his business as bookkeeper and paymaster for many years. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sally and Stanley Chamberlin of Barrington, R.I., and Jane and Richard Cabiro of Kenner, La.; two sons and their wives, Jon and Joanne Gilpatrick of Lincoln and David and Jane Gilpatrick of Franklin, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Terri Gilpatrick, James Gilpatrick, Lori Libbey, Lynda Gott, Sheri Michael, Steve Chamberlin, Karin Peterson, Michael Cabiro and Jon Cabiro; 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a very special sister-in-law, Alice Gilpatrick. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters and a brother. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Lincoln Cemetery.
