BREWER and SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Dorothy A. Clukey, 77, died March 9, 2006, at her home in San Dimas, Calif., after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 22, 1929, in Brewer, the daughter of Donald M. Cust Sr. and Frances E. (Blackman) Cust. Dot and her husband, Norman, lived in California for more than 50 years where she worked as a beautician. Dot loved to travel. She enjoyed coming to Maine to visit family. She attended several class reunions of Brewer High School where she graduated in 1947. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Norman A. Clukey of Old Town in 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Renee and her husband, John Copley and Cheryl Clukey; three grandsons, Brian, Jason and Keith Plazola; a dear friend to Cheryl and Dot, Cyndy Gutzwiller, all of California; four sisters, Pauline McLain of Brewer, Rose DiProfio of Limestone, Arline Diggins of St. Cloud, Fla. and Patricia Bartlett of Davie, Fla.; two brothers, Donald Cust Jr. of Brewer and Michael Cust of Corinth; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held March 16, at Oak Dale Mortuary, Glendora, Calif.
