FORT KENT – Dorothy “Dot” (Collin) Nadeau, 78, died April 8, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Madawaska, the daughter of Alfred and Emma (Michaud) Collin. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Dorothy worked for the University of Maine – Fort Kent and later for the University of Maine – Presque Isle, until her retirement. She was a past member of Fort Kent Golf Club. She is survived by her family, daughters, Virginia Nadeau and Kathy King, both of Fort Kent; and son, Peter Nadeau and his wife, Sue, of Herndon, Va.; three grandchildren, Shawn and Krista Nadeau, and Scott King; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Paul James Nadeau, in 1959; and nine brothers and sisters. At her request there will be no viewing at the funeral home. Friends are asked to attend a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with a reception after the service at Knights of Columbus Hall, Fort Kent. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074. Envelopes will be available at the church.
