OTIS and BANGOR – Dorothy “Dottie” V. Nadeau, 84, died at a Bangor hospital July 13, 2004. She was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Houlton, the daughter of Nelson J. and Violet (Estey) Hardy. Dorothy graduated from Houlton High School and Beals College in Bangor. She was employed at Sears for 33 years. She is survived by sons, Michael and his wife, Gloria, of Old Town, Peter and his wife, Marjorie, of Otis, Chris Nadeau of Bar Harbor; daughters, Taren O’Halloran of Eddington, Debra Ahearn and husband, David, of Hudson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis McNutt of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Leon N. Nadeau; sister, Evelyn Jordan; brother, Earl Hardy; and daughter-in-law, Diane Nadeau. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Brimmer Cemetery, Pyle Road, Otis, with the Rev. John Lacey officiating.
