BANGOR – Dorothy I. Carroll, 72, died Aug. 28, 2005, at a Brewer healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 2, 1932, in Somerville, Mass., the daughter of Samuel and Gladys Watts. Dorothy married Alexander Carroll, Sept. 20, 1970. Together they owned and operated Carroll’s Variety in South Keene, N.H. from September 1972 to July 1977. They retired and moved to Bangor in 1979. Surviving are her husband, Alex, of Bangor. Private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 1225 Broadway, Bangor.
