MARLBOROUGH, Mass. Dorothy K. “Sis” (Budreau) Proctor, 83, formerly of Millinocket, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Coleman House Nursing Facility, Northborough, Mass., after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Millinocket, daughter of the late Edward and Katherine (McQuarrie) Budreau. She had lived in the Marlboro/Hudson, Mass., area for more than 35 years. She was a 1941 graduate of Stearns High School, Millinocket. In the years after World War II, she lived in Rogers City, Mich., where she started her family. She returned to Brewer in 1956 and remained until 1961, when the family relocated to the Prides Corner neighborhood of Westbrook. She retired from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Marlborough, Mass., after 17 years of service, as both a pharmaceutical and surgical technician. Prior to that, she worked for Bouvier and Wheeler Pharmacies for many years. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her friends at Mosley’s on the Charles. She also loved golf and enjoyed jogging. She was sincerely dedicated to her family. She leaves five children, Pamela Proctor and her husband, Wayne Trakimas, of Hudson, Mass., Stephen Proctor and his wife, Ann, of Bangor, Laurie Hedstrom of Lebanon, N.H., James Proctor Jr. of Baldwinville, N.Y., and Heidi Coache of Orange, Mass. She is the sister of Frank Budreau and his wife, Delphine, of Kennebunk, Lawrence Budreau and his wife, Barbara, of Anderson, S.C., Daniel Budreau and his wife, Betty, Ronald “Shorty” Budreau and his wife, Donna and Ann Corrine “Skip” Hughes and her husband, Thomas, all of Millinocket. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, Ted and Stephen Evangelous of Southboro/Marlboro, Mass., Emerson, Heidi and Robin Proctor of Jamesville, N.Y., Hannah and Adam Coache of Orange, Mass., James and Kevin Proctor of Bangor and Kyle, Mason and Ryan Hedstrom of Lebanon, N.H.; eight great-grand-children, Alexia, Nicos, Gino, Katy, Amber, Candice, Josh and Kayla. She was the former wife of James E. Proctor of Millinocket. A funeral service will be held 9 a.m. Monday, June 4, from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough, Mass., with a Mass 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, Mass. Burial will be after at Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
