PRESQUE ISLE – Dorothy M. Parks, 76, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born March 3, 1930, in Yarmouth, the daughter of Lester and Roxie (Foster) Dunning. She worked at Columbia Forest Products for 14 years, worked as a cook at George’s Restaurant, Northern Maine Technical College and the University of Maine – Presque Isle. She is survived by a daughter, Luann Varney and her husband, Curtis, of Canterbury, New Brunswick; a son, Stephen Parks and his wife, Marie, of Westfield, three granddaughters, Deanna Edwards and her husband, Neil, of Canterbury, New Brunswick, Susan Skidgell and her husband, Geoffery, of Mapleton, Christine Guimond and her husband, Zenon, of Rockland; two grandsons, Alex Varney of Canterbury, New Brunswick and Philip Brown and his wife, Sandy, of Mapleton; five great-granddaughters, Kolby and Kylee Edwards of Canterbury, New Brunswick, Erica Smith and Amy Thurlow of Mapleton and Brittney Guimond of Rockland; one great-grandson, Ryan Guimond of Rockland; a sister-in-law, Shirley Parks of Debec, New Brunswick; a brother-in-law, Lynwood Brown of Robinson; a brother and sister-in-law, Waymen and Mable Foster of St. John, New Brunswick, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wendell Parks in 1989; and a sister, Floris Duntley in 2006. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Interment will be at Lower Fosterville Cemetery, Fosterville, New Brunswick.
