VEAZIE – Dorothy V. Nangle, wife of the late George B. Nangle Jr., died Dec. 12, 2004, at Orono Commons. She was born June 6, 1920, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Harold and Adelaide Mulgrew. She was a joy to all who knew her and was a loving person who loved life, family and friends. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the focus and pride of her life. Dorothy is survived by her son, George B. Nangle III of Machias; and daughters, Linda Hake of Veazie, Deborah Dompke of Inverness, Ill. and Diane Adam of Elgin, III.; grandchildren, Kimberly Sawhny, Craig Howard, Erica Hake, Kristin Rubino, Kelli Dompke, Brian Adam and Alison Adam; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition her sister, Adelaide Shawchuk of Cranston, R.I. Her family wants to extend a special thank you to the loving staff at Orono Commons. They were angels to our mom and words cannot express our gratitude to them all. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Rudolph Leveille, celebrant. Spring interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by Foley Funeral Service, Bangor.
