GLENBURN – Dorothy (White) Cook Small, 82, died Feb. 11, 2005, at a Bangor hospital, after a long illness. She was born May 23, 1922, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Willie E. White and Hazel (Curtis) White. She was a stitcher at several local woolen mills and shoe factories, for many years. Dorothy was a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Skowhegan and a former member of the Palmyra Senior Citizens. She had been a resident of the Palmyra and St. Albans area until recent years. Surviving are one daughter, Jane E. Dyer of Kenduskeag; two grandsons, Michael Dyer II and Aaron Dyer, both of Bangor; a granddaughter, Annette Braley of Palmyra; three great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Tucker, and Steven; a stepdaughter, Joan Mills of Skowhegan; a stepson, Leonard Small Jr. of Millinocket; a sister-in-law, Winifred White of Winsted, Conn.; a brother-in-law, Neal Davis of Sangerville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Fred Cook; and her second husband, Leonard Small; and two children, Maureen Cook and John Cook; a grandson, John Cook Jr.; a brother, Leroy White; a sister, Kathleen Davis.
