COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. It is with sadness in our hearts that we share the loss of our husband and father, Richard J. Taylor, who passed away at home unexpectedly on Dec. 29, 2003. Richard was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Bangor, to H. Joseph Taylor and Marian L. Taylor. Richard is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nancy; his son, Philip; daughters, Carolyn and Nicole; his sister and brother, Sharon and Don of Bangor; and many other very special relatives and beloved friends. He and his partner practiced at and operated the Colorado Springs Allergy & Asthma Clinic. Richard graduated from Bowdin College in Brunswick and received his medical degree from the University of Vermont. He did a Medical Internship at Northwestern University, a family practice Residency at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Denver, Colo., and an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Tennessee. He completed an Allergy-Immunology Fellowship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colo. He enjoyed his allergy/asthma practices and patients in Quincy, Ill. and Colorado Springs, Colo. His passions in life were reading books, especially history, hiking and biking, and spending time with his wife, children and friends. Memorial services were held on Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
