CARIBOU and HOULTON – Dr. Roy G. Boone, DMD, 81, died Dec. 23, 2003, at a local healthcare faci-lity following a brief illness. He was born Oct. 21, 1922, in Caribou, the son of Ralph and Eleanor (Gaynor) Boone. Roy served in the U.S. Army during World War II, then practiced dentistry in Caribou until his retirement in 1984. He was a lover of animals and an avid horseman raising and training Arabian horses. He leaves his family, Judith (Holt) Boone; a son, John R. Boone and his wife, Beth; a daughter, Elizabeth Coville and her husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Catherine, Daniel, Michael and Meg; sisters, Joy L. Murray and Eleanor Lupo; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Frank Storer; and sisters, Elizabeth and Danna. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the St. Luke’s Church in Caribou, with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
