ELLSWORTH – Duane H. Braley, 71, died March 26, 2007, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born April 27, 1935, in Waltham, the son of Harold and Pauline (Salisbury) Braley. Duane liked meeting all his friends at the Holiday Inn, enjoying the hot tub and the opportunity to have good conversation and a cup of coffee. He especially enjoyed his time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved all sports. He was a member of the Franklin Vets Club. He is survived by his sons, Kevin Braley and wife, Kelli, of Ellsworth, and Gary Duane Braley of Otis; daughter, Teresa McDonald and husband, Thomas, of Waltham; sister, Sandra Conners and husband, Harold, of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Chuck, Josh, Nick, Nathan, Jennifer, Ashley, Brandon and Alex; great-grandchildren, Heather, Kala, Alaycia, Faith, Andrew and Ryan; nieces, Kris and Amy; and a nephew, Scott. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Charlene Braley, in 2005; a son, Charles Andrew Braley; and great-granddaughter, Jodi. A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, at Otis Baptist Church with Pastor Cliff Cain and Pastor Scott Conners officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Otis.
