CARIBOU – Earl C. Anderson, 95, died May 15, 2004, at Presque Isle. He was born Oct. 5, 1908, in Caribou, the son Simon and Grace (Little) Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Abundant Life Mission of Caribou. He served with the 152nd Field Artillery Maine Army National Guard for several years. He is survived by five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Chester Anderson of Deland, Fla., Gilbert Anderson of Prospect, Conn., Ernest and Theresa Anderson, and Merrill and Delila Anderson, all of Caribou, and Simon Elbridge and Betty Anderson of Industry, Pa.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gertrude York and Elizabeth Tibbetts, both of Millinocket, Ethel and Henry Nutting of Perham, and Zelda and George Wilcox of Westbrook; two sisters-in-law, Murla Patterson of Caribou, and Stella Skidgel of Gardner; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Judy Forsman of Caribou. Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his first wife, Fern (Skidgel) Anderson; his second wife, Rita (Cox) Anderson; his parents; and three sisters, Lavercie Gamblin, Meritta Sullivan and Lula Dyer. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004, from the Caribou Assembly of God, with the Rev. Loretta Doody officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rennie Tichnor. Interment will be in the Riverside Ext. Cemetery, Washburn. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mr. Anderson may do so through the Abundant Life Mission Memorial Fund.
