HANCOCK – Earle E. Goodwin, 81, died Sept. 22, 2006, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Bangor, the son of Earle F. and Madeline (Mosely) Goodwin. Earle served in the Army during World War II, where he was a Bronze Star holder. He was a very devoted father and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Earle was a jack of all trades. He was an active member in the Hancock Baptist Church. Earle is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Estelle (Shepard) Goodwin; and his son, Richard Goodwin and his wife, Jacie, of Hancock. He was predeceased by his brother, Allen Goodwin; his first wife, Faith (Stubbs), the mother of Richard; and one nephew, Richard Goodwin. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Locust Grove Cemetery, Hampden, with Pastor William Sommerville officiating. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
