EDGAR S. MORIN CARIBOU and SOUTHINGTON, Conn. – Edgar S. Morin, 81, husband of Evelyn (Sutherland) Morin, died Monday, March 14, 2005 at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was born at Connor, April 10, 1923, the son of the late Simeon and Clara (Damboise) Morin. A devoted husband and family man, Mr. Morin spent several years traveling as an ironworker to support his growing family. He later became a contractor in Northern Maine before moving his business to Connecticut, contracting worldwide, including Saudia Araba. Mr. Morin was predeceased by his daughter, Delle Marie and his son, Edward David Morin. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Edgar Morin Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Bristol; a grandson, Edgar Thomas III and his wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Alexus, Matthew and Emma; granddaughter, Monica Reynolds, and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jacob; granddaughter, Melisa and her husband, Thomas Lavan and great-grandson, Aiden. He is also survived by his brothers, Wilson and his wife, Claire, Simeon and wife, Yolande, Delmar and his wife, Jackie, Jerome and his wife, Lucille; Roosevelt and his wife, Lilliana; a sister, Lillian and her husband, Albert; sister-in-law, Mae; and brother-in-law, Frederick Sutherland and his wife, Linda; and brother-in-law, Gilman Morin. Mr. Morin also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, cherished friends and co-workers. He was also predeceased by brothers, Delano, Kenneth, Larry, Vandel, Donald, Arthur; and a sister, Mandora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 noon, Thursday, March 17, 2005, at the St. Aloysius Church in Connecticut. Spring interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Local arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home.
