MEDWAY AND BREWER Shirley Mae (Trueworthy) Faloon, 76, wife of the late George D. Faloon Sr., went home to be with her Lord, March 15, 2005, peacefully surrounded by her family, while at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 24, 1928, in Medway, the daughter of Frederick A. and Nora E. (Fowles) Trueworthy. During her lifetime Shirley had owned several boarding homes and a general store. She was a true Christian lady who enjoyed reading her Bible and praising the Lord, as a member of the Christian Ridge Church of God of Ellsworth. She also enjoyed crocheting. Her focus in life was always on her family and serving her Lord. Shirley is survived by her children, George D. Faloon Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Ellsworth, Darlene F. Phillips and her husband, Stephen, of Clifton and Kevin R. Faloon and his wife, Laurie, of Dover-Foxcroft; two sisters, Leora Ladd and her husband, Alan, of Brewer, and Belinda Robinson and her husband, Phillip, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Brent Trueworthy and his wife, Suzanne, of Brewer, eight grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, George D. Faloon Sr. in May of 2004; a brother, Fay Trueworthy in December 2004; her parents; and by two infant sisters, Naomi and Marguerite. Visiting hours will be held, 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Jason B. Bailey, pastor of the Christian Ridge Church of God, officiating, assisted by Shirley’s brother, Pastor Brent Trueworthy and her brother-in-law, Pastor Phillip Robinson. Interment in the springtime will be in Grindstone Cemetery, Medway.
