DOVER-FOXCROFT – Edith M. Pinkerton, 101, wife of the late Fred W. Pinkerton Sr., died March 11, 2004, at a local nursing home. She was born April 13, 1902, in Crystal, the daughter of Rufus and Selma (Colpitts) Humphrey. Mrs. Pinkerton had worked as the assistant matron at the Warren Home before her retirement. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Sangerville, and Central Grange No. 121 of Dover-Foxcroft. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Fred; four children, Glenard, Fred Jr., John, and Patty; five brothers, Stanley, Milton, Maurice, Newell, and Donald; three sisters, Althea, Winifred, and Alice. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Cantara of Dover-Foxcroft, Violet Dunbar and her husband, Charles, of Smithtown, Texas; a sister, Muriel Page of Dover-Foxcroft; 54 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, with the Rev.
