TRENTON – Edward A. Blyth “Uncle Ed,” 54, died April 14, 2007, at his residence, after a long illness. He was born Aug. 6, 1952, in Schoharie, N.Y., the son of Andrew and Dorothy (Face) Blyth. Ed made his living doing everything from carpentry, to masonry, to restaurant manager and cook. He was most well known as the kitchen manager at Freddy’s Route 66, from 1999 to 2004, and many of those who were close to him, and even those who weren’t, knew him as the mayor of Bar Harbor. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Bonita of Trenton; son, Jason Blyth of Colorado; stepson, Lonnie McCaffrey of New Hampshire; daughters, Jessica Blyth of Arizona and Jennifer Hoffman of New York; brothers, Joe, Jimmy and Johnny; sisters, Annette, Barbara and Judy.
