TAMPA, Fla. – Edward R. “Jack” “Ted” Frost, 75, of Tampa, passed away Oct. 4, 2003. He was born and raised in Bangor. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1946 and attended Husson College, graduating in 1950. Master Sgt. (Ret.) Frost served his country with pride and honor for 28 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1975 at MacDill Air Force Base. His tours of duty include overseas assignments to Italy, Philippine Islands, Vietnam, England and Korea. He received many awards and commendations including two Army Commendation Medals, two Joint Service Medals, and two Meritorious Service Medals. He is survived by his loving wife Laura; sons, Stephen Frost and wife, Wanda, of South Dakota, Terrance Frost and wife, Amy, of Georgia; daughters, Mary Bergin of Dunedin, Fla., Linda Speights and husband, Steven, of Alabama, Deborah Allbritton and husband, Doug, of Georgia, Rebecca Fisk and husband, John, of Georgia; sister, Sandra Rogerson of Maine; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; friends and family. The Frost family wishes to thank Dr. Gedia and staff, Brandon Hospital and staff, and LifePath Hospice Burgandy Team. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the chapel of the Brewer and Sons Funeral Home (formerly Mark III) with American Legion Post 138 officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. until the time of service. Full military honors are being performed at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Florida National Cemetery.
