LAKEVILLE – Edward V. Cookson, 89, died May 13, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 26, 1916, in Plymouth, the son of Frank and Carrie (Allen) Cookson. Edward was a great outdoorsman. He liked hunting and fishing. He loved to play pool, music and dancing. He was a member of the John T. Heard Masonic Lodge in Ipswich, Mass. He is survived by two daughters, Janice Bousley and her husband, William and Candace Muise and her husband, Stephen; one brother, Glenn Cookson and his wife, Lois; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Cookson; a brother-in-law, Roland Hobbs and his wife, Julia; a brother-in-law, Freddy Paradis; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grand-children, many stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jennie (Hobbs) Cookson; two sons, Garry Cookson and Ronald Cookson; one brother, Harrison Batt; and a special friend of 18 years, Beatrice Severance. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, with the Rev. Linda Hatch officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
