MADAWASKA – Edwina Dufour, 82, died Aug. 5, 2008, surrounded by her family, in Boston, Mass. She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Madawaska, the daughter of Alsime and Leda (Lagasse) Dumond. She was a member of Ladies of St. Anne and Eucharistic minister for Our Lady of the Valley Church. She is survived by five sons, Arnold and his wife, Patricia, Allen, all of St. David, Danny and friend, Ingrid, of Waynesboro, Va., Davis and his wife, Yong, of Hawaii, and Gary and his wife, Lise, of Madawaska; one daughter, Lisa and her husband, Marc Deschene, of Fort Kent; seven brothers, Norman and Theresa of Florida, Lawrence of Virginia, Gilman, Emile, Roland, Reno and Rolande, Gilbert “Zoone” and Ora, all of Connecticut; two sisters and their husbands, Lena and Nivard Hebert of Madawaska, and Nancy and Don Berube of Conn.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Dufour. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m. until time of services at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Burial will be at Agatha Lower Cemetery.
