STOCKTON SPRINGS and WOONSOCKET, R.I. – Elaine Perry, 70, died Jan. 11, 2006, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born Oct. 31, 1935, in East Providence, R.I., daughter of Frank and Isabel (Diogenes) Perry. She was raised in Attleboro, Mass., and was a professional wrestler, competing for many years. She lived in Woonsocket, R.I. for more than 30 years where she worked at an electrical factory for many years. She and her dogs, Penny and Blackie, whom she loved very much, moved to Maine in March 2005. Elaine is survived by two brothers, Edward Perry and his wife, Miriam, of Stockton Springs, and John Perry of Massachusetts; daughter, Janice Snow of Rhode Island; sister-in-law, Cam Perry of Rhode Island; cousins, Helen Lewis, and Victoria Trudell, both of Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews including, Edward F. Perry and his wife, Regina, of Prospect and Robert C. Perry and his wife, Linda, of Attleboro, Mass. Elaine was predeceased by a brother, Frank Perry. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with Deacon Fred Harrigan officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations in Elaine’s memory may be made to the American Legion Post No. 157, Stockton Springs, ME 04981.
