HOMESTEAD, Fla., and HANCOCK POINT – Elaine Ruth McConnachie, 82, died March 28, 2007, at a Homestead hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1925, in White Plains, N.Y. Elaine’s heart belonged to Maine, the place where she most loved to be. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her sister, Marion McGlinchy of St. Cloud, Fla.; daughter, Lauren Neeley of Homestead, Fla.; sons, Robert of Homestead, Fla., Michael of Houston, and Kym of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Service will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
