MADAWASKA – Eldon Dionne, 59, died April 23, 2004, at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born June 8, 1944, in Madawaska, son of Alphie and Rose Marie (Malenfant) Dionne. Eldon taught school at the Washburn High School for five years. He then worked for himself as a part time mechanic and seasonal worker on local farms. He is survived by one brother, Joel and his wife, Therese, of Madawaska; two sisters, Marie Ange and her husband, Bob Williams, of Madawaska and Doris and her husband, Stuart Smith, of Springfield; and a companion, Pauline Gendreau with her two daughters, Lisa and Sharon, all of Madawaska; two nieces and; six nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the St. David Church and interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours will be 6:30-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral at the Daigle Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund.
