SEAL HARBOR – Eleanor M. “Snookie” Damon, 77, died March 11, 2005, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born Aug. 7, 1927, in the village of Somesville in the town of Mt. Desert, the daughter of Arthur D. and Abbie G. (Stanley) Walls. She is survived by a son, Sherman S. Damon and wife, Paula, of Trenton; a brother, Edward W. Walls and wife, Jessie, of Bangor; and a sister, Vealie L. Bowden and husband, Glen, of Hampden; four grandchildren, Tracy, Todd, Daniel and Deidra; and a great-granddaughter, Sara; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Waldo M. “Mack” Damon Jr.; and a brother, A. Stanley Damon. Private spring graveside services will be held at Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor.
