MILLIS, Mass. – Eleanore T. (McManus) Rielly, 89, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at her home. Born Oct. 6, 1918, in Bangor, she was one of eight children born to John and Margaret (McTigue) McManus. Mrs. Rielly graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nur-sing, Portland, as a registered nurse in 1935. She pursued post-graduate work at Long Island College Hospital, New York and worked for three years in labor and delivery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. In 1949 she married her husband of 58 years, Thomas Michael Rielly. They lived for several years in Springfield, Mass., prior to settling in Millis, Mass., in 1955. Mrs. Rielly had continued her nursing career for 23 years at Leonard Morse Hospital, Natick, Mass. She most loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Predeceased by her husband in 2007. She is survived by four daughters, Maryanne Rielly Lewis and husband, Ronald, of Wayland, Mass., Kathleen Rielly and husband, David Wilkins, of Franklin, Mass., Margaret D. Rielly Banco and husband, Robert, of Medfield, Mass., and Eileen E. Rielly of Newton, Mass.; two sisters, Mary Thompson and hus-band, Paul, of Richmond, Va., and Anne Sage of Natick, Mass.; one brother, Reginald McManus and wife, Kathleen, of Springfield, Va.; eight grandchildren, David Brodeur, Ryan, Michael and Matthew Lewis, Sarah, Erin and Darcy Banco, and Madeline Rielly; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Sat-urday, June 28, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 182 Exchange St., Millis, Mass. Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, Mass.
