WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. Elizabeth A. “Bette” (Conlogue) Grant, 76, wife of Robert L. Grant, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at Hartford Hospital, Conneticut. She was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Houlton, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Allison) Conlogue. She grew up and was married in Houlton and had lived in Long Beach, Calif., before moving to Windsor Locks, Conn., in 1964. After raising her family, she was employed for more than 25 years at Southern Auto Auction, East Windsor, Conn., where she made many friends throughout the region. Bette was a faithful communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, where she was a long time member of the Altar Society and the Women’s Society. She was a member of the OWL Club and enjoyed a variety of crafts, baking and bird watching. In addition to her husband of 57 years, Bob, she is survived by six children, Mark Grant and his wife, Kathy, of Suffield, Conn., Brett Grant and his wife, Dianne, of Windham Center, Conn., Stephen Grant and his wife, Dana, of Chico, Calif., Kathryn Grant of Windsor Locks, Conn., Christopher Grant and his wife, Leilani, of Caldwell, Idaho, and Jennifer Zeliger and her husband, David, of Prospect, Ky.; five sisters, Joan Lanzone of Long Beach, Calif., Jeanette Hamilton and Marie Stine, both of Windsor Locks, Conn., Sister Theresa Conlogue of Augusta and Sister Ruth Conlogue of Portland; a brother, Eugene Conlogue of Ashland, Ore.; 15 grandchildren, Karen, Sheila, Kevin, Bridget, Brendan and Helen, Brooke and Dana, Jessica, Danielle and Claire, Connor, Keenan and Cassidy, and Meren; five great-grand-children, Gaelen, Grace and Nora, and Elias and Anna; many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, Conn. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, South Elm Street, Windsor Locks, Conn. Burial will be after at St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks, Conn.
