OLD TOWN – Elizabeth A. Eustis, 72, died Aug. 1, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Bangor, the daughter of Francis and Helen (Nelson) Currier. Elizabeth graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1951, and the University of Maine, Class of 1955, and married, Richard A. Eustis, Oct. 4, 1958. She was a dietitian at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass., for three years and dietitian at the University of Maine, Orono, for three years. Elizabeth was past treasurer of the JC Wives Club of Old Town, she served as Brownie Girl Scout Leader in Old Town, past member of the Abnaki Girl Scout Council, past president of the Neeburban Club of Old Town, active in Maine Federation of Women’s Clubs, past president of the Thursday Club at the University of Maine, Orono, past president and former treasurer of the Bangor-Orono Phi Mu Alumnae Club, and traveled extensively. She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Eustis of Old Town; one daughter, Deborah Eustis-Grandy and her husband, Matt Grandy of New Sweden; one brother and his wife, William Currier and Carol of Sagamore Hills, Ohio; sister-in-law, Marjorie Smith of Livermore Falls; nieces and nephews, Sharon and her husband, John Bistransky of Hudson, Ohio, David Currier and his wife, Jeannette of Canton, Ohio, Michael Currier and his wife, Ann of Fredericktown, Ohio, Mark Smith and his wife, Nancy of Livermore Falls; special friends, Ann Delaware of Bradley, Nancy Morey of Bangor. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at Brookings-Smith, Old Town Chapel, 205 Main St., Old Town. Private graveside services will be held at Tobey Cemetery, Canaan.
