SEBRING, Fla. – Elizabeth Ann (Betty Obey) Blanchard, 72, of Sebring, Fla., passed away March 16, 2004. She was born in Bangor. She graduated as Valedictorian from Bucksport High School, Class of 1949, and attended Husson College. Betty has lived in Florida with her husband Paul for the past 49 years. After retiring, they traveled in a motor home throughout the United States and Canada. Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Blanchard; daughters, Paula (Robert) Esposito and Karen (Scott) Symonette; seven grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Leilani Brochard; sisters, Ellen Obey, Mary Blinn, Peggy Blinn and Stella Pelkey. She was predeceased by son, Scott Edward Blanchard; parents, John and Mary Obey, Orland; brothers, John Jr. and Robert Obey, Orland.
