SCARBOROUGH – Elizabeth Mary Drake, 51, died unexpectedly, yet peacefully, Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, with her family by her side at a Portland hospital. Lisa, as she was known to most, was born Jan. 14, 1955, in Bangor, the youngest of four children to Edward M. Burke and Anne (Doucette) Burke. She was a 1973 graduate of Bangor High School and later attended the University of Maine – Orono. Lisa married Jeffrey Spencer Drake March 28, 1980, in Bangor. Lisa worked at Shaw’s supermarket, Scarborough, most recently as a bakery associate. She had been with the company for 18 years and really enjoyed her friends there. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She enjoyed decorating the tree and putting all her Christmas nutcrackers and figurines out. Lisa was a big movie buff and tried to watch as many as possible, constantly adding to her collection of DVD’s. Her all- time favorite movie was “It’s a Wonderful Life.” She was a real animal lover and she was especially fond of Ginger and Frodo, her two pugs. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jeffrey Spencer Drake; two daughters, Jennifer Kathleen and Jamie Elizabeth Drake, all of Scarborough; brothers, Michael Burke and wife, Roberta, and Patrick Burke; sister, Kathleen Burke Terwilliger; and niece, Lilah Terwilliger, along with many other loving relatives and friends. A visiting hour will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland, with a funeral service 2 p.m. Interment will be immediately after the service at Black Point Cemetery, Scarborough.
