SOUTHWEST HARBOR Elizabeth M. Trask died Feb. 10, 2004 at Southridge Rehabilitation and Living Center in Biddeford. She was born Oct. 23, 1921, in West Somerville, Mass. She was the wife of the late Rev. Joseph M. Trask. Elizabeth graduated from Franklin High School in Reisterstown, Md., Fitchburg State College in 1951 with a BS in Education. She retired from teaching in 1984 after teaching Home Economics in the following High Schools for 36 years, Milo, Winchendon, Mass., Valley-Stream Long Island, N.Y., Brownville Junction, Laconia, N.H. and Holliston, Mass. Many of her students went on to become chefs in several fine restaurants. She was also past-president of the AAUW and Teacher of the Year in 1978 at Holliston High School. Elizabeth was a loving, caring and compassion wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by one son, William Mason Trask, born May 15, 1955, in Caribou and resides in Old Orchard Beach; one grandson and one granddaughter, Robert Joseph and Elizabeth Mary Trask, born June 27, 1986, in Portland; one sister, Mrs. Priscilla Brown of Ocean City, Md., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Wagenfuerh; and two brothers, Leon Macdonald and Herbert Macdonald. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Fernald Funeral Chapel, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert, with the Rev. David J. Lucey officiating. Spring interment will be at Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor. At the family’s request those who wish may make gifts in Elizabeth’s memory to a college trust fund for her twin grandchildren, Robert and Elizabeth to The Bar Harbor Banking & Trust Co. in care of Debra Sanner, P.O.
